Research notes

Act 47 makes a duplex by-right anywhere a single-family home is allowed on a lot served by municipal sewer and water. The 'served by municipal sewer and water' precondition makes a municipal sewer/water service-area GIS layer mandatory for VT city records. Statute is self-executing and not opt-out; preserved by Act 181 of 2024.
