Research notes
Three major KY installations: (1) Fort Knox (Hardin, Meade, Bullitt counties) — US Army Human Resources Command, Bullion Depository, Godman AAF; (2) Fort Campbell (Christian, Trigg counties KY + Montgomery, Stewart counties TN) — 101st Airborne, Campbell AAF, dominant AICUZ footprint over Christian County and Hopkinsville/Oak Grove; (3) Blue Grass Army Depot (Madison County) — conventional munitions storage + former chemical weapons stockpile (destruction completed July 2023). Also: KY National Guard Boone NG Center (Frankfort), Fort Knox-area training annexes. KRS 100.345 codifies the installation-commander consultation requirement — the state-level corollary to the federal AICUZ guidelines.
