Research notes

Mississippi does not have a formal voluntary agricultural-district statute like NC's §106-735 or TN's §43-34 — agricultural land preservation operates through (1) the §95-3-29 Right to Farm nuisance shield, (2) Class II use-value assessment, and (3) §17-1-17(2) which exempts bona fide agricultural land in unincorporated areas from county zoning.
