Sheet size and scale determine what fits on a drawing. Every combination at once — five sheet sizes, five scales. Blue values are typical working drawings. Orange values are unusually large coverage areas worth knowing.
Purpose: the relationship between sheet size and scale is not intuitive. A D-size sheet at 1/8" covers a completely different building than the same sheet at 1/4". This table makes that legible at a glance.
