Fence Configurator

You're drawing a site plan and the zoning code says '6-foot opaque fence along the south property line.' But what does opaque mean when there are sixteen different fence types? This configurator draws every standard wood and chain link fence type at the same height and bay width so you can compare visual density side-by-side. Use it to pick the fence type that actually meets the opacity and rhythm your code or client requires.

Purpose: reveals the visual density and privacy gradient across every standard fence type at real proportions.

Next improvement: The likeliest next improvement is adding a gate bay — single swing, double swing, and sliding — with post sizing and hardware clearances per ASTM F900.

Future: Retaining Wall Selector — gravity, cantilever, and segmental types drawn in section at the same retained height, with footing depth and geogrid requirements from NCMA and ASCE 7.

Future: Guardrail & Handrail Configurator — rail heights, baluster spacing, and opening limits for guards at grade changes, from IBC 1015 and IRC R312.
