Escalator Configurator

You're coordinating a floor opening for an escalator and the structural engineer needs pit depths, the architect needs the total horizontal run, and nobody remembers which manufacturer has the shortest lower landing. This configurator lets you pick manufacturer, width, and floor-to-floor rise, then draws the full profile section with every dimension that affects your slab design. Use it before you dimension the floor opening on your structural plans.

Purpose: reveals the structural and spatial commitments hidden in an escalator size selection — pit depths, truss clearances, and total horizontal run.

Next improvement: The likeliest next improvement is adding the floor opening plan view — showing deck width, wellway dimensions, and the required clearance to adjacent structure per ASME A17.1.

Future: Elevator Shaft Sizer — cab size, hoistway dimensions, pit depth, and overhead clearance for hydraulic and traction types, from ASME A17.1 and manufacturer tables.

Future: Moving Walk Configurator — the horizontal cousin: tread width, truss depth, and total run for level and inclined moving walks, from the same ASME A17.1 tables.
